BFusion/BFlex 09 Call For Proposals

BFusion/BFlex has been blessed with some great instructors and presenters during its brief existence. Just check out this stud-studded line-up from 2008! We will post many more details about the event in the coming weeks. For now we want to put out a call to all potential instructors. If you would like to come share your love of ColdFusion and Flex with others in the community, please consider submitting a proposal.

You Give

* A limited number of traditional presentations will be accepted, probably only for the advanced tracks.

You Get

Details on the Call For Proposals page. If you’ll be at CFUnited this week, track me down and I can tell you all about it. Better yet, track down one of last year’s speakers and ask them. They are my best promoters!

NOTE: We will need assistants as well, but we will hold that call a little closer to the event, probably late September.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Looking Forward to BFusion/BFlex `09

The buzz about BFusion/BFlex ‘08 has not subsided. We had a great conference this year and the idea is catching on. At Adobe MAX NA this year it was mention by Kristen Schofield, ColdFusion Senior Product Marketing Manager, the Adobe Community team and the Adobe Education team as a model for helping introduce new developers to ColdFusion, Flex and AIR. Each group confirmed their ongoing support for the conference and were anxious to get planning next year’s conference.

The most that I can say about BFusion/BFlex ‘09 at this time is that we are are committed to making it happen. We got a lot of positive feedback and some excellent suggestions on how to improve the event. It is too early to determine exact dates, but the plan is for fall. Since Adobe MAX NA will be much earlier next year (October 4-7 in Los Angeles) it will impact our planning. We also have to wait to see when we can secure our facilities. Academic uses take precedence.
