Common Software

The following are links to software commonly used by ColdFusion developers. If you are attending a ColdFusion session, you will probably need one or more of these. Please check session-specific configuration information for additions information or exceptions.

Intro for Dev
Install these before the session:

  • ColdFusion 9
  • ColdFusion Builder

Getting Started with Mura CMS

Pre-Session Configuration

  • Adobe ColdFusion (preferably 8.0.1+) or Railo
  • Local web server such as Microsoft IIS or Apache
  • Database server such as Microsoft SQL Server (2000+) or MySQL (v.3.0+)

Integrating Your Custom Design with Mura CMS

Pre-Session Configuration

  • Adobe ColdFusion (preferably 8.0.1+) or Railo

  • If NOT attending the prior session “Getting Started …”" then should have Mura CMS installed with a site and a few pages set up prior to the session

How to really use Solr

  • You must have either ColdFusion 9 installed with Search Services or you must install the Apache Solr standalone from http://www.adobe.com/support/coldfusion/downloads.html
  • Please familiarize yourself with starting, stopping and restarting the solr service. In windows, this is done from the Services panel, on OS X it’s done at the command line by changing to your cfsolr root directory and running “sudo ./cfsolr start|stop|restart”
